GLOBAL JUSTICE

Around the globe, victims of atrocities are demanding justice.

For the first time, we have the tools to hold individuals to account.

We are 2500 civil society organizations in 150 countries fighting for global justice through the International Criminal Court and national courts.

A STRONGER ICC

The ICC is the only permanent international court for grave crimes.

As a young body, it faces many judicial, institutional and political challenges.

STATE SUPPORT

With no police force, the ICC depends on the support and cooperation of governments.

Suspects must be arrested, victims and witnesses protected, safe havens abolished. Read how we urge states to live up to their international obligations.

VICTIMS FIRST

Victims of grave crimes are the reason the ICC exists.

They can participate in trials and receive reparations to rebuild their lives. We work to ensuring victims remain at the forefront of the ICC system.

The ICC is the only permanent international judicial body capable of trying individuals for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes when national courts are unable or unwilling to do so.

The ICC will only act if states are unable or unwilling to investigate and prosecute alleged perpetrators on their own.
